Beneteau, one of the world's leading boat builders, is continuing to develop on the powerboat market, expanding its reach into North and South America, while maintaining its leadership on the sailboats market.

Our portfolio of recreational brands includes Swift Trawler, Gran Turismo, Monte Carlo and Barracuda for power boats; Oceanis, Sense and First for sailboats.

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join the Beneteau America team in Annapolis by the end of July.

The Administrative Assistant will provide support to our sales & marketing team with normal office functions such as greeting visitors, answering the phone, assisting with clerical duties including typing and editing letters, sending packages, sorting mail and emails from partners, vendors, customers and prospects. The Administrative Assistant will also assist with travels logistics, expense reporting, and other miscellaneous duties as needed.

This position will report to the President of Beneteau America. It is based in Annapolis, MD and will not require frequent travels outside the office.

We’re looking for an outgoing and positive person who is dedicated to customer satisfaction and team building.


  • Greet visitors, answer the phone and assist vendors and customers with their queries, directing them to the appropriate party and screening obvious sales calls.
  • Provide personal assistance to the President including: process expense reports, make travel arrangements, assist with letter writing and editing, formatting and proofreading documents.
  • Assist marketing staff with the submission of invoices due for payment to accounting: stamp with date, record in spreadsheet with correct GL code, group and send to accounting electronically, review weekly check run and help track payment status upon request from vendors.
  • Manage specific monthly/weekly report and presentations (in Excel or PowerPoint): regroup contents from different team members, format and proofread to ensure professional and consistent look. Make recommendations over time to streamline process and improve presentation.
  • Assist sales managers and marketing staff with events planning and room bookings for large groups, including assistance with the annual Beneteau owners event (room contract, catering, other services, etc.).
  • Order office supplies, and contact IT consultant or property management as needed to help ensure the office runs smoothly.
  • Handle tour requests for the Marion factory, and refer other site visits to France as needed.
  • Document existing processes within the marketing department to help improve organization within the team.
  • Attend some boat shows and owner’s events as needed.
  • Perform all other miscellaneous duties as requested.

Education & Experience

  • High School graduate with administrative experience.
  • Familiarity with the marine industry a plus.
  • Driver’s license required.


  • Proactive, rigorous towards attention to details and consistency.
  • Strong work ethics.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing in English, within our organization, with our distributors, and the general public.
  • French language a plus.
